USGSAM stands to University System of Georgia Student Accommodation Manager. The Georgia Board of Regents funded the development of this unique application and provides the application at no cost to it's member institutions ; in exchange, participating institutions will be helping the USG board collect better information on overall student disabilities and academic needs. Under USGSAM, data recorded will be under compliance with the Board of Regent's Disability Student Affairs Handbook. Likewise, this will help schools in the completion of the Board of Regents Annual Report for Services to Students with Disabilities.
Aside from helping USG institutions complete the annual survey, USGSAM primarily functions as a tool to help Disability Service personnel manage data. USGSAM Features include:
- Student Portal - students can log in to the application and submit information.
- Generate Accommodation Letters
- Query summary reports
- Keep track of student status and report eligibility
USGSAM is continuously being improved based on decisions of the usgsam taskforce whose receive feedback from participating institutions.
